This page explains the limited measurement and signup services used on Future God. Optional LinkedIn advertising measurement is off unless you affirmatively allow it.
Site analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. It is separate from the optional LinkedIn advertising measurement described below.
Optional LinkedIn measurement
The LinkedIn Insight Tag may load only on book.html, and only after you choose Allow LinkedIn measurement. If you make no choice or choose Continue without LinkedIn, the tag does not load.
After consent, LinkedIn Website Actions may automatically capture page visits, button clicks, and form submissions on the Book page. Only the conversion rules listed below are used for this pilot; LinkedIn may still process automatically captured Website Actions data under its own terms.
The approved conversion rules measure a Book-page visit and these selected actions:
- clicking the Reader Sampler download link;
- opening the Paperback destination;
- opening the Kindle destination; and
- successfully completing the mailing-list signup request.
An outbound retailer click is measured only as a click, not as a verified purchase. A signup conversion is sent only after the mailing-list service returns a successful response.
This pilot does not use LinkedIn enhanced matching, matched or predictive audiences, or retargeting. A visit is not treated as evidence of any visitor’s religion, philosophy, or beliefs.
Your preference
Your LinkedIn measurement choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage cannot replace or remove a prior grant, the site may use a denial-only first-party cookie to preserve your refusal. If browser storage changes and cookies are both unavailable during withdrawal, the site may use a denial-only page-session marker in the current browser history entry so a same-URL reload can unload LinkedIn and keep the stale grant overridden. This denial-only fallback never records affirmative consent: neither the cookie nor the page-session marker stores a grant, and the page-session marker is not added to the URL. If a grant cannot be stored and verified, the site does not assume consent.
You can change your choice through Tracking preferences in the footer. Withdrawing a prior grant reloads the current page only after the site establishes a fail-closed state through a stored denial, successful grant removal, a denial-only cookie, or the page-session marker. If none of those states can be established, the choices remain open and any previously loaded LinkedIn measurement remains active on the current page until you leave it or successfully retry; the site does not claim withdrawal or deliberately reload into a known stale grant. LinkedIn’s handling of data received while permission existed is governed by its own privacy terms.
Mailing list
If you submit the signup form, the email address you provide is sent to Kit, the mailing-list service, for that requested subscription. The optional LinkedIn signup conversion contains no email address.
